Certificate of origin: Who issues this document is the agent from which you will buy the goods. The importer uses it to prove the origin of the material he is purchasing and can still get discounts on certain taxes related to it. A new certificate must be issued for each import.

Packing list or packing list: This is a list of all products contained in the packaging for shipment. When goods are checked, physical volumes are checked against this document.

Proforma Invoice: It is the document that starts trading. This is a document issued by the exporter to the importer who has expressed an interest in closing the import business. It works like a budget that precedes the official invoicing of the merchandise.

Bill of lading: This document proves that the goods are in the possession of a certain carrier and can be issued in sea, air, rail and road. It is as if the receipt, delivery contract and proof of possession were in one document.

Import Licensing (LI): This document can be issued before or after the goods are shipped by public agencies and is based on federal laws. The model is determined by the legal characteristics of each commodity.

Import declaration (DI): This is a document registered in the Integrated Foreign Trade System (Siscomex), which allows the importer to opt for simplified customs clearance.
