New coronavirus: Antonina’s port terminal offers cabotage at cost price for internal supply

TPPF – Terminals Portuarios da Ponta do Félix presents its solidarity action plan to the market, in the face of the worldwide public health emergency caused by the new coronavirus (COVID-19).

Based on its experience in maritime cargo transportation and aiming to contribute effectively to contain the effects of the health crisis on a global scale, the TPPF informs that it is offering coastal shipping port operations services at a different price.

Transport will be a priority for items with the greatest demand for the population, such as: medicines, hospital equipment, hygiene products, medicines and food.

“The objective of TPPF is to contribute to the supply of the country and to the government so that food, medical equipment, medicines, and other necessary items, reach the destinations as quickly as possible”, declared the TPPF’s CEO, Gilberto Birkhan.

Birkhan announced that the TPPF tariff on specialized cabotage operations will be at cost. “We are going to put all our efficiency in operations into practice to make a difference in this difficult time,” he added.

With approximately 7.5 thousand kilometers in length, the Brazilian coast has been increasingly explored as a modal for the internal movement of products. “At this moment, cabotage is a customized operational alternative that can meet the need for supplying or disposing of products in Paraná and also for the rest of Brazil with a considerable reduction in logistics costs”, reinforces Gilberto.

“We are together with Brazil, offering a solution, with productivity and a high level of service. The Terminal follows all national and international health protocols, avoiding any possibility of contagion or proliferation of the new Coronavirus”, guarantees the CEO of TPPF
